It Started With a Wedding I Never Expected to Officiate.
In 2007, one of my best friend’s sisters-in-law lived in Wisconsin and wanted to be married in Charleston.
She asked me to officiate her wedding.
I had never officiated a wedding before.
I was thrilled by the honor— and I wanted to make sure I was properly prepared to deliver something truly meaningful.
At the time, I was a notary public because of my years working as a paralegal, where I needed that credential.
But marriage felt different.
There was something sacred about being entrusted with the words spoken when two people stand before the people they love in holy matrimony and say:
“I do”.
So I became ordained as a minister.
I never could have imagined what that one invitation would eventually become.
Fifteen years later, I would find myself having worked personally with both this bride and this groom as their coach— and then being flown to Cabo San Lucas to officiate their recommitment ceremony with their three girls (and now they have a boy too!).
And this is only one of many extraordinary chapters.
Apparently, Weddings Found Me.
I’ve been invited to witness so many wonderful love stories.
One woman I took on a as a coaching client, led to eventually working with her boyfriend too. When they got engaged guess what?
They invited me to officiate their wedding at the beautiful Historic Mills House in downtown Charleston.
This led to officiating each of her two sisters’ weddings as well as coaching his mom and his sister too!
I’ve traveled to Wisconsin to officiate the wedding of my brother-in-law and his beautiful bride who became my sister-in-law that wonderful day.
Looking back, I can see that there has never been a conventional path to any of this.
What I Love Most About Officiating Weddings is the moment when everyone becomes completely present.
The room quiets.
You two turn towards one another.
And suddenly, all of the planning, flower choices, food options, musical selections, logistics and details all come together and simultaneously disappear.
In this moment it’s just about the two of you.
Facing one another with an entire community of people who love you witnessing it.
We all want you to thrive.
We all want your families to come together.
We all want your love to deepen and grow and touch the lives of all you come into contact with.
We all want you to have a beautiful extraordinary life together.
And I get to stand in the middle of that.
It is an honor I never take lightly.

This is where my work is a little different because I am not only an officiant, I’m a relationship and intuitive success coach.
For twenty years I have also been helping people communicate more honestly and navigate conflict more intentionally and make conscious choices that create a marriage that allows you both to contribute to building life together that collaboratively reflects what matters most to you— both.

During the Wedding
I’ll be there as your officiant—holding the space for the ceremony while helping you stay connected to what the day is actually about.
After the Wedding
We’ll reconnect with the vision you created and support you in bringing it into the reality of everyday life.
Because sometimes the hardest part isn’t falling in love.
It’s learning how to build a life together without losing yourselves—or one another—in the process.
A three month (thirteen week) experience

A year long alternate week private coaching relationship for couples who are committed to continued support as they build, evolve and deepen their life together.
